Our client is seeking an experienced Senior Programmer Analyst to handle data management and data editing tasks for surveys.

Responsibilities include: The SRPA will develop systems to extract data from various source files and/or the client's generalized systems and databases, and transform these data for use in system databases, and for delivery to internal and external clients. The SRPA will lead in developing technical requirements, design, and data flows for file, edit, and transformation tasks. In a team situation, s/he will have a leadership role and the responsibility for reviewing and directing the work of other programmers on the team, prepare resource estimates, and manage team assignments. Here's the story; They recently purchased a bakery plant in FL and are trying to create reports (Finance/ Accounting) from that purchase. Required Technical Skills/Experience
- 5+ Years Experience developing n-tier Internet applications with Java/J2EE (EJB, JSP, Servlet)
- Proficient with open source frameworks such as Struts, Spring, Tiles, JMS
- Extremely proficient with standard JAVA development tools such as Eclipse, ANT, Maven, Cruise Control, JUnit, etc.
- Knowledge and experience with SQL and relational database concepts
- Experience with Websphere or similar J2EE application server(s)
- Experience with HTML, XML
- Strong understanding of Linux/Unix/AIX Environments

Responsibilities:

  • Coding, implementation, testing, administration and maintenance of SharePoint (MOSS 2007) sites
  • Custom application development utilizing SharePoint (MOSS 2007) technologies
  • Design, develop and implement applications using C# and ASP.NET
  • Implement new processes, procedures, technology and tools in order to improve productivity, product quality and performance.
  • Defines transition steps from the current to future application architecture including introduction of new features and interoperability with existing applications.
  • Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products.
  • Works with end users to understand business requirements and in identifying new data needs and delivery mechanisms.
  • Stay current on SharePoint technologies and a strong desire to learn new skills and improve
  • Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills
  • Professional Knowledge and Experience
  • Needs to be a hands on SharePoint Developer
  • 5+ years of Object Oriented programming using .NET C#, ASP.NET
  • 2+ years of experience in SharePoint (MOSS 2007)
  • Expert in SharePoint (MOSS 2007) Administration (Site creation, document libraries etc)
  • Expert in SharePoint Security administration and maintenance
  • Experience working with and developing BDC
  • Hands on SharePoint Development experience creating custom web parts, integrating content with SharePoint including indexing, and access controls
  • Experience in creating .Net C# custom controls, user controls and deploying to SharePoint
  • Experience with Visual Studio 2008/2005
  • Knowledge and practical experience of applications development in a distributed database environment
  • Knowledge and experience working with SQL Server 2005/2008 database

Software Experience

  • SharePoint (MOSS 2007), SharePoint (2003)
  • Microsoft Windows Development Environment & Tools
  • Experience in Visual Studio 2008/2005

Education

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience is required.
  • Microsoft SharePoint Developer Certification considered a plus
