Software Engineer- Arlington Heights, Direct, 6135

Direct hire role - most important of the required skills listed are stored procedures (SQL Queries), exp in high volume 24/7 systems, Java or .Net (the other can be learned), and communication skills

Job Summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic software engineer who can play a vital role developing and managing our online tournament system, which interfaces with our video games. This position will be responsible for leading development of the system, making all implementation and architecture decisions, as well as managing day-to-day issues that arise. You must have experience writing stored procedures and Java that interface with normalized relational databases. While this role is a development position, it relies on coordination with all the departments at Incredible Technologies. Applicants must have clear communication skills and the ability to interact well with others.

Professional Requirements
· Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or other applicable field
· At least 3 years software application development experience
· Experience writing back-end transactional systems
· 3 years of Java servlet container development
· 3 years of writing stored procedures and SQL
· Management skills are a plus given this role will include project management over small teams
· Experience shipping a commercial software product is a strong plus
· Video game players encouraged

Technical Skills
· Expertise in Java and Object Oriented programming
· Ability to write complex SQL Queries and stored procedures
· Data modeling/table layout experience
· Experience with messaging systems is a plus
· Strong troubleshooting skills
· Experience with Tomcat and Oracle a strong plus
