Unix Production Engineer Responsibilities:
Escalating relevant issues to the various owners & up/down-stream groups, Lev-2 and development teams
Recommending & implementing improvements to systems
Providing metrics on issues
Develop and Maintain documentation

Qualifications & Technical skills:
Knowledge of Investment Banking/Capital Markets
Unix (Linux, Solaris) and Windows
Shell scripting (ksh, csh), perl, python
Relational Database's, SQL, Stored Procedures
Sybase and MS SQL
Some knowledge of middleware (CORBA, MQ Series) and networking desirable
Some knowledge of debugging and troubleshooting Java, C++ and VBA apps desirable
