POSITION OVERVIEW
Project Managers provide day-to-day strategic and tactical leadership for the delivery team on client engagements. Scope of responsibilities span the entire project lifecycle from planning to initiation through execution and tracking and then closing. Managers are responsible for client satisfaction, project delivery, project financials, and team development. Within the discipline of Project Management, the clients Managers apply industry standards, best practices, and client specific methodologies and tools in the delivery of projects. Managers at client must be intelligent problem solvers with strong written and verbal communication skills. Candidates must be self-starters, able to quickly learn and practically apply new knowledge in a fast-paced client driven environment. Managers lead by example and emulate Clients Core Values in the leadership of teams. Managers work closely with Engagement Directors on a project providing project oversight, client management and securing new opportunities within an existing account relationship. Managers are expected to contribute to the larger client community providing thought leadership and developing / refining processes and tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Project Management
Determines the project approach and methodology that best suits the task requirements and client environment. Demonstrated understanding and experience with a variety of methodologies from Agile to Waterfall.
Effectively applies client methodologies and tools to project delivery.
Estimation and planning resulting in project plans and detailed project tracking controls.
Identifies and secures resources (internal and contract resources as needed) to provide the right mix of expertise and skills for the project.
Manages day-to-day project operations serving as the Functional/Domain expert on the project team.
Provides quality oversight on deliverables prepared by the project team before submitting to client.
Adept at identifying, quantifying, and managing risk to project delivery.
Provides quality assurance on project documents and client deliverables including knowledge repository management.
Builds and motivating teams by helping individuals maximize their potential. Conducts team engagement reviews and mentors resources. Communication
Serves as the primary day-to-day client and team contact for the project.
Facilitates client working sessions and leads recurring project status meetings.
Serves as the liaison between internal/external teams and keeps all parties well informed of relevant project updated, decisions, actions, issues and risks.
Organized and structured in written and oral communications with an ability to level the communications appropriately for the target audience (from internal team communications to C-level client presentations).
Demonstrated ability to set and manage client expectations. Develops long lasting trusted advisor relationships with clients. Technical Understanding
Understands leading edge Web application technologies including, but not limited to, Rich Internet Application (RIA) technology, mobile applications, and n-tier architectures.
Experience in one of more of the following solution sets: Corporate Sites, Consumer Sites, B2B Sites, RIA/Web 2.0 Applications, Employee Portals, and Marketing Platforms.
Understands the elements of User Experience and the application and benefits of a User-Centered Design process in the delivery of solutions.
Maintains a leading edge understanding of new and emerging technologies and their potential application at the client.

Financial Management
Experience bidding and executing Time and Materials and Firm Fixed Price contracts.
Responsible for time reporting and subsequent client invoicing and collections.
Responsible for project and project accounting using client and clients processes and tools as required per the client environment.
Accurately forecasts revenue, profitability, margins, billing, and resource utilization.
Utilizes the clients pricing model in estimates and proposals. Tracks project progress vs. plan using the clients Financial Tracker. Business Development
Identifies business development "add-on" sales opportunities at the current client.
Leads proposal efforts including project approach, solution design, resource planning, and cost estimation.
Effectively conveys the clients brand and capabilities in both written and verbal business development conversations.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE/SKILLS
Bachelors degree
8+ years professional experience in consulting with at least 2 years experience in a project / program management role.
Consulting experience delivering web channel solutions at an enterprise scale.
Understanding of user experience design and
Experience serving as the functional subject matter expert on projects based on previous experience and/or the ability to quickly learn and become the resident expert.
Demonstrated experience managing design and technical teams.

NICE TO HAVE
PMI certification
Financial Services or Government / DoD experience
MBA or Masters degree in Information Technologies
