Manager, Information Systems- Niles, Contract, 5896

Job Summary
We are seeking a Manager, Information Systems, who will be responsible for operational support of our WAN/LAN/wireless network systems, the Cisco IPCC environment, the Corporate server environment, and working in an outsourcing relationship to meet our functional business objectives. This position requires an ability to work well with both business and technical personnel, navigate effectively in an unstructured, dynamic environment and respond well to change. The Manager must collaborate with our team to troubleshoot any issues and be available 24 hours/day, 7 days/week on an emergency basis for troubleshooting and off-hours maintenance activities.

Management responsibilities include:
· Lead a team of 3-5 engineers for the administration and management of UNIX, Windows, VMware, SANS/NAS and Novell and Notifylink systems
· Manage production deployment of Websphere and Tomcat applications
· Manage Autosys job scheduling environment and integration with Mainframe
· Direct staff to provide support for any infrastructure projects and ensure on-time delivery of tasks
· Work with outsourcing vendor to ensure weekly metrics identifying availability and reliability
· Monitor Systems availability with Solar Winds
· Provide 7 x 24 support for all systems

Technical responsibilities include:
· Research, analysis, and implemention of software patches or hardware changes to fix any network, voice, or server deficiencies
· Routing experience in an MPLS environment with an understanding of QoS for IP Telephony
· Lead any design discussions of the network architecture and infrastructure
· Develop network, voice, and server standards
· Perform capacity and resource planning, assessing risks and contingency planning
· Develop effective documentation to clearly articulate technical designs issues/constraints, procedures, etc.
· Involvement in the evaluation of new products and services
· Work with engineers to solve systems and applications stability problems
· Perform other duties as needed
