IT Project Manager III- 610271- Riverwoods, Contract, 5695

The project manager is responsible for defining, leading, and managing operational projects. The position requires a thorough understanding of of Operations Support Activities and will be responsible for managing our operational process improvement initiatives to align with industry standards and the ITIL framework.

The position is responsible for ensuring the implementation of the existing policies and processes defined by the organization. The position is responsible for managing multiple concurrent projects from requriement gathering through launch for ongoing product maintenance activites as well as new product development. This is a senior level position, that will require the ability to juggle multiple projects of varying type, size and scope.

Project management Duties include:
- Assume overall responsibility for project deliverables -Serve as primary contact to project stakeholders
-Establish and maintain Operational resource allocation across all Operational projects.
- Develop and mianing effective cross-functional working relationships
- Establish and maintain a project plan for all project activites. Obtain necessary commitments for the business and dependencies and critical path.
- Incorporate standard change requests practices across projects under management.
- Assist in the identification of all project deliverables. Confirm and validate project estimations and assumptions at key milestones.
- Monitor, report on and act to achieve project convergence to schedule, features and quality. Apply principles of scope, resource, time and quality.

Experience:
* 5-10 years of Operations project management experience; 5+ years experience as a senior developer or business/systems analyst responsibility in a software/systems development environment; 3-5 years experience as an operational support manager; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Project Management certifications from either the Project Management Institute or a specialized training program encouraged.
* A working knowledge of and experience with Operational Support and well as software development processes and procedures.
* Experience with Content Management Systems strongly preferred.
* A strong candidate will also have experience in an operational support role, including the creation of well defined SLAs and escalations procedures, incident reporting, tracking, monitoring and reporting.
* Experience with process improvement/alignment with ITIL and CMMI experience strongly preferred.
