OMS specialist-Chicago, Direct, 5256

Primary Responsibilities:

•Work with our trading desk to design and build new strategies within our 3rd party OMS/EMS application. All aspects of this application need to be covered including configuring, writing code within, debugging, etc.

•Work with technology managers to integrate 3rd party software into proprietary trading and clearing systems.

•Help build and maintain support systems for a critical real-time trading system. Interface with technology managers to build and maintain monitoring tools (Perl, csh, ksh, sql)

•Interface with business users to provide support, capture requirements and provide solutions

Required Experience:

•5-10 years C++ development experience

•Strong experience maintaining or developing OMS/EMS installation (releasing, building, coding, configuring, monitoring, supporting, etc.)

•Strong experience with Unix/Linux, with particular emphasis on shell scripting and Perl

•Programming ability in C and Perl - ability to write code (not just maintain)

•Ability to build scripts in csh, ksh and/or PerlExperience working with FIX message format (4.0, 4.2)

•BS/BA in Computer Science, Mathematics, Engineering, or related discipline

Highly Desirable skills:

•Program Trading and/or Algorithmic trading experience

•Familiarity with MS SQL a plus

•Understanding of the mechanics of Stock or Option trading a plus

•Specific experience with FlexTrade a plus

Required interpersonal skills:

Ability to perform well under intense pressure

Strong problem diagnosis and problem solving skills (business and technology)

Ability to provide a working solution on the first attempt

Ability to react quickly and efficiently under time constraint
