Java Developer- Chicago, Contract to Hire, 5237

Responsibilities include: develop software solutions to project requirements; assist and train support staff; contribute to and maintain process improvements. Additional responsibilities include system engineering and operations management; and working with Business Analysts in developing requirements.

Required Experience
B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent, with four (4) plus years professional-level work experience in software development, including requirements, design, implementation, support and the product release cycles. Experience in object-oriented programming and database management required. Candidates must have substantial knowledge of: Java and J2EE technologies; XML; Web development (HTML, AJAX, Web 2.0, Javascript, CSS); Microsoft-centric technologies (.NET, ASP, VB, MS-SQL server); Software development methodologies (RUP, Agile Development). Ideal candidates will possess knowledge/experience in any of the following: Web server administration (IIS, Apache); technical documentation; systems analysis; business analysis; familiarity with Survey or Market Research
