c# Sharepoint programmer- Deerfield, Contract, 5208

A innovative company located in the northern suburbs of Chicago is look for a Sharepoint programmer for a contract, maybe contract-to-hire.

Responsibilities
· Coding, implementation, testing, administration and maintenance of SharePoint (MOSS 2007) sites
· Custom application development utilizing SharePoint (MOSS 2007) technologies
· Design, develop and implement applications using C# and ASP.NET
· Implement new processes, procedures, technology and tools in order to improve productivity, product quality and performance.
· Defines transition steps from the current to future application architecture including introduction of new features and interoperability with existing applications.
· Evaluates new technologies and software products to determine feasibility and desirability of incorporating their capabilities within the company's products.
· Works with end users to understand business requirements and in identifying new data needs and delivery mechanisms.
. Stay current on SharePoint technologies and a strong desire to learn new skills and improve
· Strong analytical and verbal/written communication skills
Professional Knowledge and Experience
Needs to be a hands on SharePoint Developer
· 5+ years of Object Oriented programming using .NET C#, ASP.NET
· 2+ years of experience in SharePoint (MOSS 2007)
· Expert in SharePoint (MOSS 2007) Administration (Site creation, document libraries etc)
· Expert in SharePoint Security administration and maintenance
· Experience working with and developing BDC
· Hands on SharePoint Development experience creating custom web parts, integrating content with SharePoint including indexing, and access controls
· Experience in creating .Net C# custom controls, user controls and deploying to SharePoint
· Experience with Visual Studio 2008/2005
· Knowledge and practical experience of applications development in a distributed database environment
· Knowledge and experience working with SQL Server 2005/2008 database
Software Experience
· SharePoint (MOSS 2007), SharePoint (2003)
· Microsoft Windows Development Environment & Tools
. Experience in Visual Studio 2008/2005
Education
· Bachelors degree in Computer Science or the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and experience is required.
. Microsoft SharePoint Developer Certification considered a plus
